A verdict has been reached that finds Pfizer guilty
The UK’s Prescription Medicines Code of Practice Authority (PMCPA) has received a complaint against Pfizer pharmaceutical, which is responsible for regulating promotions of prescription medicines in the UK. The complaint is related to an interview given by Pfizer’s CEO, Albert Bourla, to a medical editor at the BBC, which contained “misleading” comments about COVID-19 shots for children. The interview appeared on the BBC website under the “Health” category on December 2, 2021.
In the interview, Bourla stated that it would be a good idea to immunize children in the UK and Europe, although it was up to the regulatory agencies to approve and distribute vaccines to children under 11. However, at the time of the interview, no COVID-19 vaccines had been approved by the U.K.’s Medicines and Health products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) for children under 12, so the PMCPA panel found Bourla’s comments to be in violation of the code.
Bourla also mentioned the possibility of disruptions in schooling and the potential for long COVID, saying, “So, there was no doubt in my mind that the benefits completely were in favour of doing it [vaccinating children against COVID-19].” Children’s Health Defense reported on this issue.
