About Dr. Md Arifur Rahman
Dr. Md Arifur Rahman is a distinguished dentist and educator with a career spanning nearly two decades. He graduated from City Dental College under the University of Dhaka in 2004 and pursued post-graduate studies in Dental Public Health in 2009. Dr. Arif began practicing at Holy Dental Care in 2005, and he also founded and served as the Head of the Dental Unit at North East Medical College, where he was an Assistant Professor. He later held a position as an Assistant Professor of Public Health at Northeast University.
To stay current with advancements in dentistry, Dr. Arif actively participates in national and international dental conferences and workshops. In 2018, he attended the IFEA Endodontic Conference and received advanced training in root canal treatment. He also completed a Faculty Development Course at Tokyo Medical and Dental University, Japan, in 2023, gaining expertise in dental implants and crown-bridge work.
Dr. Arif is a certified dental laser expert by the Academy of Laser Dentistry (ALD), having received advanced laser training in Australia and Malaysia. He was the first to introduce dental laser treatment in Sylhet, and he currently serves as an international mentor for Pioon Laser Company, providing regular training to dental surgeons.
